Here is my design for a desk organizer for the #studentdesignchallenge! I drew this in fusion 360. I believe this organizer and can help will virtual learning by staying organized and focused. My design features a place for a water bottle, 3 hooks that can be used to hang a face mask, and house or car keys, a spot for headphones,1 phone and 1 book stand as well as a USB and sd cardholder. The biggest issue I had was editing the hooks and headphone holder. It had to go through 3 revisions. If I could redesign something it would be the book holder and phone holder. Originally I wanted the book holder to fold in half and I wanted the phone holder to be adjustable and have the freedom to be set to any angle for comfort. 3D printing will help my designing skills become better. The computer models can look amazing and the tolerances can look good until it's time to make the physical item. 3D printing out my design will allow me to make changes to my design by showing me what areas need to be stronger, larger, smoother, in real-time.
