The outer wall of the Desk Nest also acts as a pencil holder while the inside is a lot flexible as to the utensils it can hold. Desk Nest also has a removable divider that specializes in the interior space of the main component and two removable components as the phone holder. This helps students with online learning because it keeps desktops neat and organized so students can efficiently navigate their space for different online classes. Not only does Desk Nest organize objects, but it also incorporates elements of art. Art can be relaxing and inspiring to lay eyes on, and the artistic elements of Desk Nest provide students with the benefits of art during or after a day's worth of hard work.

I created Desk Nest using Sketchup, not the best software for 3D printing, and I struggled turning objects into solids that are 3D printable. I watched many tutorials and often resorted to hours of trial and error to display my ideas on the computer screen. Thankfully, I was fortunate enough to figure out the problems and find the right tools, often by guessing, to fix the problem.

If I could redesign this, I would use 3D printing techniques such as hollowing out the interior to save time and material while printing because I want to make my object less time-consuming and expensive to print, making it more accessible and practical.

3D printing would strengthen my design by allowing me to create real, three-dimensional prototypes to test my ideas' practicality and reality, which can often be overlooked while designing in a virtual platform.
Files A, B, and C are separated components of the entire project and can be 3D printed individually. File Submission is a collage of all the components together to present the project as a whole and in relation to all its components.
