This is a tool rack for the Desert Eagle cleaning tools.
In closed state all tools are locked in place and the brush is protected from dirt. When assembled the rack can still be pulled apart for about 1.5cm and then be folded a few degrees. Because of the spring this pose is stable as well and the tools are accessible.
While the parts of the frame (bottom and top) as well as the bridge need to be printed only once the hinge is required twice (see assembly image). Print all parts laying flat an the printer bed. Printing the frame with support inside will leave you with the task of removing support in places you can hardly reach. I strongly suggest you use only support on the building plate.
The hinges should be printed with support everywhere. Most likely you need to grind the hinges to fit into their housings inside the frame. This is due to the fact that they are printed in different direction as the frame and downwards surfaces on support have a poor quality.
The final step of the assembly is to push the hinges inside the frame. Afterwards the barbs will engage and the hinges cannot be removed without destroying the frame. Please be sure to have all preperations done and the orientation correct before !
As the last step you can plug in the bridge and connect the spring. The spring should be about or a bit less than 4cm in relaxed state (measuring hook to hook).
Good luck !
