Case for the Delta 5 lap timer case V2 PCB & Raspberry Pi 3, designed to be compact and accessible.
The case is 110x110x48mm small. It incorperates the official V2 PCB for up to 4 nodes, a 40x40x10 cooling fan, a voltage display from Banggood and a Raspberry Pi 3B.
No need for extra hardware/screws. The bottom and top pieces snap fit together, the PCB and Raspberry Pi as well.
The Arduino USB Port and the Raspberry Pi Ethernet and 2 USB Ports are accessable from outside.
2 cases can be stacked together to extend the lap timer to a 8 node system, using a bracket, and some Arduino connection cables, if necessary.
If 4 nodes are found channels R1, R3, R5, R7 are beeing assigned and on 8 node Raceband 1-8 (configureable in the server.py script). For LiveTime use the Arduino frequency set in the arduino code is beeing retrieved.
The holder for the fan in the top pieces is for a press fit installation, if the fan has grooves on the side, like mine have. If they don't you can use the top plate without the mount and screw the fan in place.
Power consumption is about 1,1A on a 3s lipo with 2 fully equiped V2 PCBs, a Raspberry Pi 3B+, 2x 12V 40mm fans, Low Voltage Buzzer, Voltage Display and 3 step down regulators (1x Raspberry, 1x Arduino, 1x RX5808).
So for a whole day of use you'll need aprox. a 3s10000mah, a 4s8000mah or a 6s5000mah for this setup.
