Allows you to use a standard inexpensive food dehydrator for your filament. I have gone through 100s of rolls of filament with this setup, you do not need bearings for something like this. Bearings actually are NOT desirable because the spool will start unraveling itself as the filament falls off the roll when it is held sideways. The friction caused by the side of the filament spool sliding over the PETG/PLA plastic is actually a necessary part of such a setup.
Uses a few 3mm screws and washers to hold it in to the dehydrator base. There are many different models of dehyrator on Amazon that will work for this.
I made the large plastic divider that the filament PTFE feed tube mounts to out of PC from Home Depot - get the 1/8" size and cut into a strip the right width and then bend and bolt it together with some M3 screws. If you drill the PTFE tube hole just the right size it will press in and stay there, at least mine has.
The larger size has an OD of 39mm and works with Solutech, Esun, MG chemicals filament + many others with a large diameter hole.
The smaller size is for Taulman 3D filament spools and may work with other small ID spools, it has a OD of 18mm.
I print mine in PETG but PLA should work, just may warp a little more over time.
