I had this idea for days, but as the mechanics of a real one are so complex I made it as minimalistic as possible...

Three keys work (due to the small scale they don't fall back, so perhaps it's a rusty typewriter ;-) )
If the carbon paper strip is put in tightly, the keys bounce off it though.


The barrel holds the paper and rotates

The slots can hold a tiny strip of carbon paper and in theory, the letters could actually print on the paper . . . IF it was rigid enough AND you have a high resolution printer.

Sorry for the bad pictures and videos, but it's 2.30 in the morning here and I quickly hit record before the darn camera's batteries where completely dead. Also, it's just barely hold together with some transparent tape for now until I get it colored and assembled.
The final version will look much tidier and not so loose.
As soon as I get it done, I'll update this.
