During a search for mystic epitaphs in a mountain, he fortuitously unearthed a huge, glowing, blue gem known as the God Stone. He recalled that any who claim it would be given the power of Dark Creation. On Kanchelsis' command, an umbral labyrinth materialized from around the floating God Stone. This impassable labyrinth would serve as a machination of luring unwary prey. Other structures, both great & small, were spoken into existence. He then proclaimed that his newly evoked sanctum be called the Dark Haven. Kanchelsis became both Lord of Dark Haven & Guardian of the God Stone. Because of Dark Haven's resonating gloom, countless creatures of the night were drawn to it, especially, during the Samhain Harvest. Vampires, werewolves, & other varieties of unnatural oddities responded to its beckoning call, resulting in a terrible legion known as the Sluagh of Shadow. Eventually, much darker beings took notice. One such being was an Abyssal Prince named Orcus, Lord of the Undead. Both he & Kanchelsis collaborated to spread nocturnal wrath & death across the realms of daylight. They crafted a molten portal beginning from Orcus' Lower Plane into the Material Plane above, directly ending inside of Dark Haven's walls. This portal became known as the Demon Well, where beings of darkness could communicate & travel between the planes. It was also the 'lifeblood,' or, source of sentience for Dark Haven. Doors, lifts, & the like were controlled by the Demon Well's essence & fiery conduits, through the order of Kanchelsis. Dark Haven expanded, as did Kanchelsis' ominous dominion. Very soon, Dark Haven would be recognized as an exalted pantheon by many Tribes of the Moon. For others- a grim token of what the darker side of the night could bring..... #3D #Abyss #Artifact #Autumn #Balaur #Bat #Bathory #Beast #Black_Cat #Black_Dog #Book_of_Vile_Darkness #Castle #Coffin #Cold #Crow #Cursed #Daemon #Dark #Death #Decay #Deity #Demigod #Demon #Devil #Dracula #Dragon #Drainage_Tunnel #Dullahan #Dungeon #Dungeons_and_Dragons #Elemental #Evil_Dead #Fantasy #Fear #Fey #Fiend #Folklore #Fountain #Gargoyle #Gem #Ghost #Ghoul #Giant #Gloom #Goblin #Golem #Gothic #Grimoire #Grotesque #Hades #Hag #Halloween #Haunted #Haven #Hell #Hellraiser #Horror #Immortal #Kanchelsis #Labyrinth #Lament_Configuration #Lich #Macabre #Madness #Magic #Maze #Medieval #Monster #Moon #Mythology #Nagual #Necromancer #Necronomicon #Night #Nightbreed #Nightmare #Nocturnal #Nosferatu #Obelisk #Ogre #Omen #Orcus #Owl #Pantheon #Phantom #Portal #Possessed #Purge #Raven #Ravenloft #Revenant #Sacrifice #Sculpture #Shadow #Shadow_Plane #Shapeshifter #Shrine #Slasher #Sluagh #Sorcerer #Spell #Spirit #Strahd #Structure #Supernatural #Throne #Trap #Undead #Underworld #Vampire #Viktor #Water_Vein #Werebeast #Werewolf #Wild_Hunt #Witch #Wolf #Zombie
