I noticed that the D9 V2 comes with Z-Axis supports and so I designed these for the D9 V1 with 40mm channels
I took into consideration that the gray extruder cable runs up the front and along the top, hence the high top braces.
I also took into consideration that some might have printed larger thumb wheels for the bed leveling and gave the bottom right-hand brace a bit more clearance for the wheel.
When referring to the handing of the braces I have adopted the view as you would look at the printer and not the printers L or R. I have included two right hand lower braces (1 with an sd holder and 1 without), your choice but only need one or the other.
I have also included A 4mm thread T-Nut for securing the braces to the printer.
Non Printable parts required are as follows.
2 (two) 12mm x 680mm threaded bar.
6 (six) 12mm Nuts. (although you could probably print these yourself.
8 (eight) 4mm x 25mm round head screws
8 (eight) 4mm Nuts to fit inside the base of the printed T-Nuts
Assembly:
Screw 1 (one) threaded bar into each Base bracket, (might be a bit tight, depending on your printer settings) but winding it in and out should work.
fix base screws and T-Nuts to base but do not tighten yet then fit base pieces to each relevant side(still no tightening).
Run a single nut to the base and tighten to clamp threaded bar.
Run another nut about 70mm to 80mm down each threaded bar and slide the two top clamps down on the relevant side of the threaded bar.
place the two top braces onto the top printer bare (with the screws and T-nuts in place).
Tighten the Base brackets to the bottom of the printer and then the top brackets to the top of the printer, move the top nuts up/down checking the left and right uprights are square the the base then add the last two nuts to the top of the threaded bar an tighten down to the top bracket. Double check for squareness and adjust accordingly.
I will get round to uploading some photos soon.
Happy printing.
