This is a shim I used in an autoknitter CSM I owned to moderate the tightening of the knit when I used Gearhart needles. Switched to use Gearhart needles for several reasons including;
1) reduced chance of implosion when hanging a toe up toe
2) allows for tighter knit without vcam striking out of work needle butts
3) put the vcam adjustment in the middle of adjustment range with my tighter knit
4) reduced chances of needles dropping when the uplift cam passed a needle butt with no stitch on.
