Cuttlefish Bone Tray for Exotic Birds
A tray with a clip to hold cuttlefish bones.
Features:
1 top support to keep the bone in place
1 hole in bottom to mount on a stand or tie/pin the bone through
4 notches on the sides to tie the bone down with twine or rubber bands
3 hooks on the back to hang from a cage wall
Hooks are on the back are .45" wide/tall and spaced to fit a 1/2" wire grid or 1/2" hardware-cloth cage.
Pictured below hanging from wire cage and with 1/2 a "large" cuttlefish bone tied in with twine.
Can be printed quickly at low-quality settings with low infill... mine was ~5g of PLA and printed in ~30 minutes.
Note: The Clip overhanging the tray is printed at a downward angle to take advantage of the way that layer lines naturally create "teeth" that will grip the bone a little better than a smooth bar. This also reduces the amount of support material necessary to print.
Printed in PLA at 100%, the clip should be flexible-enough to bend up/down without breaking.
