IMPORTANT NOTICE
This thing has not been tested, you are welcome to participate in proposing any improvements you see fit, and print-testing it (it is a big thing >150g).
It is clear I need some real dimensions of the GoPro waterproof casing, I would be glad If anyone can provide actual measurements.
360 GoPro/action camera mount rig
This rig will enable you to record 360 videos with 6 (or more) action cameras. This is the only rig of it's kind (that I know of) published in Thingiverse, that allows you to do so with all the underwater cases. So, in theory, you could use it to record 360 videos underwater!
You will need hex head screws instead of the gopro thumnutted screws as they will not fit.
It is designed to be used either with a 1/4" nut (for standard photography tripods) or/and triple GoPro compatible connectors (for use with any standard GoPro accessory).
You can configure the number of cameras: 6,7,8,9,... how many do you need? subtract 2 (top and bottom cameras) and set it as N and done.
Make sure you set the MaxCamDim with care, measure the dimensions (in mm), use the maximum (this will typically be the width of the camera). Remember to add some spare space. Consider adjusting this parameter also if your camera connector is not centred. This extra space might also come handy for N>4, as the available height for the camera to fit within the rig will be reduced (Of course you can always set the cameras at an angle outside the rig).
You can also render just the edges, so if you need a lot of cameras and your printer can not cope with the volume, you can still print all the Simple Edges (plus at least one Main Edge for top and bottom cameras) individually. I would recommend to friction weld it for best results, but you could also stick it with epoxy resin or cyanoacrylate glue.
