Cummins VT 903 V8 Diesel (Modernized twin turbo)

This is a Cummins VT 903. They have not made these engines for the trucking industry for a long time. This engine was introduced back in the 1960's and it is still currently made by Cummins. I took the old trucking version and gave it common rail fuel injection, A new turbo, and electronics. This particular version is a twin turbocharged unit. The current military version produces up to 800 horsepower. Due to its compact size, It was also used in buses and they were also used in Military tanks and personnel carriers. Mainly, Bradley Enterprises made the tank that used the Cummins VT 903. There was also the Cummins 504 and the 555 otherwise known as the Triple Nickel. Those engines were the same as this one only they were simply scaled down versions of this VT 903. The 404 and 555 shared the same block. That means this can also be scaled down to resemble a VT 504 or a 555 and it would still work as a bus or a medium duty truck engine. #Caterpillar #Caterpillar_Engine #Cummins #Cummins
