The Cubitruncated Cuboctahedron is a shape that I knew I had to attempt to model as soon as I first saw it. It's not too crazy-looking, but it has some unique character to it. I really had no idea where to start, so I ended up making a couple of failed part files before this one here. I started out with a cube in Autodesk Inventor, put some sketches on it, made extrusions to cut into the block, and then finished off with way too many lofts. The little flower pedal marks in the large triangles were a defect caused by the lofts I did (I couldn't find a good way to get rid of them). In addition, the triangles aren't recessed like the shape on the Wikipedia page (although those are minor imperfections, I would rather have a true cubitruncated cuboctahedron).
