The CST L-Trac trackball is a wonderfully customizable device, thanks to its two auxiliary button ports. I've seen foot-controlled switches designed to work with the CST, but some of us would prefer to have the switch mounted for use by the trackball hand.
I don't know who did it first, but I got the idea from reddit user ripster55 to use Cherry MX-style keyboard switches for my aux buttons, as seen here: http://imgur.com/a/bhicE
I designed this housing to fit under the overhang, and lift the switch a bit. It is small enough to allow some flexibility in placement. I've included a hole at the rear of the housing to accommodate wiring as long as you use this on the left side of the L-Trac. It would need to be mirrored to use on the right, or the hole would be on the front.
This is the second iteration of the design. I added some chamfers, and put the mysteriously missing wire hole back into the model.
