This piece of jewelry was inspired by the stereotypical image of a monarch's crown, and makes use of the design capabilities of the 3D printer. It also recognizes the fact that with STL files, the ring's measurements can be altered in Autodesk Inventor to custom fit any finger size comfortably, as well as the freedom to choose any color of filament. It is a combination of geometric and curvy symbols as well as drawing more royal inspiration from a deck of cards as it features a diamond and spade in the center of the ring. The design also utilizes empty space as the entire ring is not completely covered with designs. The ring was also created with the utilization of the Mirror function in Inventor to produce a symmetrical image for aesthetic purposes. The overall aesthetic was also a modern interpretation of a more Victorian era pattern. I feel the simplistic approach to the generally complicated pattern produces a ring that would fit any minimalist with an appreciation for a touch of complexity. When creating the ring, I considered a broader design but felt that it was best to leave it in its current state for the sake of subtlety.
