A light but sturdy stand for the Creality CR10S Control Box. It may be also valid for other models if the dimensions are the same, or modify the stl to your liking. And since it's quite tall, you can stick a drawer under it to store the usual tools. I'll do a drawer and update this thing when I have it
It's an open structure, so the airflow to the fan shouldn't get compromised. Easy assembly required, no need for screws, only some glue. The fit is really tight (that's what she said) so some filing might be needed, though after print and assembly I modified the stl to make the holes slightly bigger. If it's too much and the parts are loose, please, let me know
The dimensions in mm are 310 length, 135 width and 100 height. Usable space for drawer/storage is 310x125x80, big enough to get yourself inside and have a nap while your 36hr print is about to fail
With low quality settings (0,28 layer) and printing reasonably fast (50-60mm/s) is done in under 16hrs. NO SUPPORTS NEEDED. 20mm bridges, nothing that an average tuned CR10S (like mine) can't handle. No infill either except for the beams and the backplate, but a 10% will do for the 4 simple ones and a 20% infill for the other 2 and the backplate. You'll only need infill there, I learned the hard way but managed to save the day filling the gaps with tape to support the hanging layers. Of course, with this settings it won't look pretty, but it'll do the job
Two versions, the one I printed and the one I thought it'd be easier to print and better looking as well... when I was already printing the ugly one
Ah, pro-tip, you may want to put some of those tiny rubber or silicone pads so the stand doesn't slip. The stand being so light, the sheer force of pushing the control box button can move it
Just added a backplate that's both ornamental and adds strength to the structure, though is not strictly necessary. And bonus track, it's quite a stress test for bed adhesion. Once printed, just glue it in place
