After printing you can fit the mask to your face shape using some heat air to model it. Perform this operation with the filter installed because the filter fitting will deform together with the mask.

This Mask is no more than a face covering so it is not a surgical masks or N-95 respirators.
The aim is to have a cover in front of your mouth that can stop/reduce the aerosol you emit.
This mask has been inspired by the one designed by an Italian Company named WASP. The did a wonderful job using Blender to design a mask starting from the human face.
I printed their version but with a basic printer it was nor easy to print and very long.

Thank to their intuition I left the mask design I was working on (mainly a geometrical design that never fits the human face) and completely redesign the mask modeling it on the stl file of my face and than increasing a little bit the size and modifying the shape to have a more universal shape.
IMPORTANT:
Once the mask has been printed you can with PLA you can model it using hot water (around 60 C). Submerge the face side of the mask in the hot water (not the filter part to avoid deformations)... at this point you can model it as you prefer.
GASKET: the adhesive foam used to seal doors and windows gaps will be perfect.
FILTER:
You can use the one you prefer it should be something that stops the aerosol emitted from the mouth. I tried 3 layers of the so called Swifter dust remover, and it seems to be a good mix of breathability and filtering.

"CDC is additionally advising the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others. Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure"
