Petite histoire de ce projet :
Courant février je contacte Babouch pour voir s'il peut me faire une petite modif sur les ducts du RaceWhoop de FreeZillion car j'avais envie d'une version un peu personnalisée.
Au fil de nos discussions, le travail avançant et la passion prenant le dessus sur la rationalité, la « petite modif » du duct s'est peu à peu étendue à l'ensemble de la machine et s'est transformée finalement en une refonte esthétique complète du concept de base déjà excellent.
Nous voici donc environ trois mois plus tard avec quelque chose qui, après pas mal d'échanges d'idées, de printages de pièces, de découpes de carbone, de foirages et de réussites, semble prêt à pouvoir être partagé avec la communauté.
Et maintenant, c'est fini ?
Bein pas vraiment, vu le plaisir que nous avons pris à travailler sur cette machine, j'ai décidé de le faire perdurer et de voir comment je pouvais proposer différentes alternatives au projet de base qui est une version 2,5 pouces.
Voici donc une première version 3 pouces que je vais poster sur Thingiverse, mais je ne vais sans doute pas m'arrêter là car j'aimerais aussi proposer une version 2 pouces, celle-ci demandant encore pas mal de travail d'adaptation.
Je tenais par la même occasion à remercier FreeZillion pour le partage de son super concept, Babouch (Clover Frames) pour ses idées esthétiques et son travail de modélisation de la bête, et bien sur moi-même because why not...;o)))

The little story of this project:
During February I contacted Babouch to see if he could make a little modification on the ducts of FreeZillion's RaceWhoop because I wanted a slightly personalized version.
Over the course of our discussions, as work progressed and passion took over rationality, the "little modification" of the duct gradually spread to the whole machine and finally turned into a complete aesthetic overhaul of the already excellent basic concept.
So here we are about three months later with something that, after quite a bit of brainstorming, parts printing, carbon cutouts, messes and success stories, looks ready to be shared with the community.
And now, it's over?
Well not really, given the pleasure we took working on this machine, I decided to keep it going and see how I could offer different alternatives to the basic project which is a 2.5 inch version.
So here is a first 3 inch version that I will post on Thingiverse, but I will probably not stop there because I would also like to offer a 2 inch version, this one still requiring a bit of adaptation work.
At the same time, I wanted to thank FreeZillion for sharing his great concept, Babouch (Clover Frames) for his aesthetic ideas and his modeling work on the beast, and of course myself because why not .. .; o)))
