The Noosa Centre of the Cooloola Sunshine Institute of TAFE is a new campus primarily intended for the teaching of art and environmental tourism. The Centre unites on one campus activities which were previously undertaken at four different locations across Noosa Shire, together with a studio for visiting artists and local head-quarters for the University of the Third Age. In line with aspects of its teaching, the design of the building acknowledges its significant landscape setting and regional context, while providing functional and visually interesting spaces for teaching, workshops and administration. There is an emphasis on environmental sustainability.
