Adaptation of my notched design for use in tighter areas, like dry boxes. Just like the old design, it uses one 608zz ball bearing per design and can be used on spools of a variety of sizes. Conical shape ensures a wide array of fitment. Zero supports needed due to design, so single extruder friendly!
If a different size is required, it is simple enough to make one in OpenSCAD. All parameters have been documented and code should be easy to read, but please do leave a comment sharing what size you made so I can add it as an STL here for others!
Recommendations
Use only one ball bearing, mounted at the widest part of the cone. Keeps the spool rotating on its own axis that way, and avoids binding, plus you can use some 8mm clips to keep the filament from moving on the rail as it unwinds
