This project is in the spirit of Fdavies's ( http://www.thingiverse.com/fdavies ) work on printable Sarrus linkages such ashttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:684http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1112http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1425http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1969
The idea is to build a mechanism that creates precise large-displacement linear motion, without using precision mechanical components like ground metal rods, ball bearings, and so on.
