Edit 7/4/2017: Stencil Update! I've uploaded the new version of the stencil, with a resized opening, sturdy handles, and an identification icon on the handle itself! I'm also keeping the original file just in case some people don't like handles that stay on, and icons for easy identification!

Sometimes, you don't want a heart. You want a broken heart (broken heart sold separately), or something other than a heart altogether. It's at that point, that you reach for...a star!
Yes, your stereotypical five-pointed star, or the five-point star for those of you seeking to save characters. You could even go crazy and say "5-point star" or even, simply - a star, because everyone knows what you're talking about. Even Wikipedia, which was nice enough to release in the public domain in full SVG. I could scale that star up to the size of the fricken moon and it would still look good, no jaggies! We could send a lunar rover up there with a pen...uh, shovel...er...laser shovel, that's it! We could give it X-Y coordinates, and it would dig up this perfect five-pointed star, which we could see from the earth, if we made it big enough - which we would.
But the best thing about the SVG format is that it also looks good small. Microscopic, if you will. Which is great, if you're building a star-shaped something out of atoms, but we're not. My point (yeah, I'm getting to it)...is that these stars work great at literally any size because it's all math, and math scales perfectly. I imagine it gets wonky as you reach the extremes, like zero and infinity, but we do too, so don't judge.
The star used for this, as mentioned, is in the public domain, and it's "perfect" if this is what you want. Which it is what you want, clearly. Download it now!

Basically, I realized I didn't have any coffee stencils for my wife's coffee. This was months ago, it was Valentine's Day, and I was like "ooh, coffee! I could do something special with her coffee!" But I couldn't. Because I didn't have a stencil.
Flash-forward to this week, and I realized I could easily make my own, and they'd be a perfect fit for whatever type of decanter you had, as long as it was 90mm in outside diameter! Super flexible, right?
Oh, before I go on, yes, you can totally tell me the outside diameter of your vessel (isn't that a little personal?) and I will try to make one just for you. Share pictures, tell me what type of liquid holder you have, so others can match it up by name. But mostly, it's just the outside diameter we need.
Anyway...so I first designed the heart-shaped stencil, and that worked great! First, I used a sieve, but that ended up being way too messy and required the use of two hands - not ideal. Then I shifted to using a small metal tea-bag strainer thing similar to the one shown in this video:

Once I "perfected" the heart stencil, I had to move on to bigger and better things. And what's bigger and better than a heart? A star!
So what you see here represents days of painstaking research into the perfect five-pointed star shape, meticulously sized and aligned for this particular purpose. (Or, I did it in a few minutes. The world will never know!)
Just like the heart stencil, this stencil has both a left- and a right-handed handle, and a cuphook hole in only one side. Why? Because I think two holes looks stupid, that's why! :)
Okay, okay, let's agree to disagree. I'd be more than happy to put four holes into this thing if it would make you happy. But you really only need one. It looks like it fits perfectly on a standard cuphook but your mileage may vary. Buy a cuphook, try it out, they're cheap!
