Cleveron Self Service Parcel Terminal

With the discussion of cabinet doors being less expensive, but drawers needed
since a hand can not reach into a small area, I came up with this strange idea.
I admit it is flimsy but a letter or DVD would be fine.

This allows for several 1" door faces to fit in a terminal chassis.
Parcels can not interfere with above or below units, wedged parcels will be slid out
by the back and bottom moving forward as the door is opened

There is no interference to any other drawers, or any way the drawer will get stuck.
The solenoid catch holds the door closed, a micro switch senses the latched condition.
The door opens freely by spring for the required 30mm even if the package is wedged inside.

Then the drawer is hand opened as the wedged packed slides along the smooth inside of the chassis.
The floor opens by a cam follower attached to the door.

Additionally these can be made where chassis are the same helping reduce cost.
All chassis components are the same further reducing cost.

Several independent units can be in one chassis and can be held into the terminal by a rear lock solenoid.
Chassis unit drawers are removed from the front by the technician.
Additionally a rear support channel will be in the cabinet.

All drawer components are 20ga. steel , die cut, bent and spot welded.
Teflon strips on the bottom and rear top edge provide long life, low friction.

If you download the model you will notice the tangent mate for the pull out does not work around the radius but in real life it would.
