A single-nave Gothic church with a flat end and storied gallery was founded for the Dominicans in Olomouc in the third quarter of the 13th century. The church building was altered twice in the 14th century. The choir of the church is arched with a five-part Gothic ribbed vault. The Baroque vault of the nave was created after a fire in the year 1709. A side chapel was then added to the southern side of the church. The adjacent Dominican nunnery is first mentioned by sources in the year 1287. The nunnery was abolished in 1784 by the Josephine reforms, and it was handed over to the Ursuline order, which was moved into the rebuilt Baroque monastery from the Olomouc Bělidla.
