Having rebuilt my Prusa i3 Steel clone to use 10mm X-rods (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1905409), I designed this to use dual Zesty Nimbles (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1843195) on an E3D Chimera / Cyclops. It is designed to work with the X-carriage ends and other parts from that unit.
It is a full set of printed parts and needs a number of bushes, bolts, nuts, magnets, shafts etc. I will try to list these but this is from memory - you may find you require other components, please let me know if you do so that I can update this page.
The main components of this unit include:
a two-part X-carriage designed to accept 4x Oilite bushes (10mmID, 14mm OD, 10mm long). Eight M3 x 18 cap screws are required, as well as 8x M3 nuts.
an auto-level mount designed for a David Crocker IR auto-level board and attached to the main carriage with an M2 x 20 (IIRC) machine screw and nut.
a layer fan duct that is held in place by a number of 3mm x 4mm long rare earth magnets (5 in the duct and 5 in the carraige)
a mount for the two Zesty Nimbles and the Chimera / Cyclops. Note that this has some M2.5 captive nuts inside.
an optional filament monitor designed to use 2x 24 magnet discs. These printed discs use 24 1mm diameter x 2mm long rare earth magnets inserted alternately N-S-N. A length of clock spring 6mm wide, two hobbed discs, 4 Oilite bushes (3mm ID, 6mm OD, 3mm long) are required as well as a number of M2.5mm machine screw and nuts
The duct, carriage and Main mount were printed in ABS, other parts in PLA.
If there is interest then I will document and publish details of the filament monitor. Please message me here if so.
