ChaseCam universal GoPro mount by flyinggorilla

I needed my GoPro Hero 3+ with waterproof case and BacPac to work on an original ChaseCam. So I created a new mount for the GoPro. Since the BacPac and the waterproof case add extra weight, the center of gravity moved forwards towards the cam. Hence I added a line mounting hole at the 3D printed part. I printed by placing the mount sideways with 0.1mm layer height, 50% hexagon infill and supports.
My use-case is to do sideshots while flying a catamaran. I will post a video.

Update: it actually works when sailing a catamaran. Here are two videos for which I used this modified chasecam. Sailing Video (short) and Sailing Video (long)
Note: i printed sideways (see picture) because this makes the part the strongest (vs. inter-layer delamination). I do also recommend to still put a thin rope around the gopro foot so in case something breaks the gopro is still attached to the chasecam wire.
Update 2018-10-07:
2nd edition STL contains now two additional ears to attach a wire in triangular shape. reason is that the gopro wobbled (rotated at its own axis) too easily when hooked only on the middle eye. original chasecam also uses a triangular setup to reduce wobble.
