I bought a cheap and simple Celestron refractor telescope because I want to use the StarSense Explorer APP and the mobile phone mount on a Skywatcher Dobson telescope.
But I will not give up this simple telescope. The clamp is one of my modifications I have done to improve the quality of this telescope. I am using hight quality eyepieces form APM and BAADER Hyperion. Problem here is that the telescope tube will tip over to the eyepiece back side because of the heavy weight. The original eyepieces are very light and simple.
So I designed this universal clamp as a base for a counterweight. Here I use my SkyWatcher 9x50 finder scope. Now the tube is in balance and the friction of the side screws will hold the tube in place also when the fixing screw on the side bar is not tightened.
The top of the clamp is prepared for these clamps: https://www.ebay.de/itm/Teleskop-Sucher-Schwalbenschwanz-Montage-Basis-Slot-Platte-f%C3%BCr-Celestron/123987795021?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
You need 2 M4 screws an 2 M4 nuts.
In addition you need 1 M5x30mm screw, 1 M5 x 20mm screw and 2 M5 nuts or better a paket of this nuts (M5):https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07CPRHP2X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
