I had a mini-pump lying around and thought of making a water fountain for my cat. I added a micro-usb connector to easily power it from any 5V USB charger. Because the pipe system I designed is not symmetric, the height of the water coming out of the top pipes is not the same on all 3 of them, but I don't mind it.
The print orientation should be with the base on the bottom for each part.
The mini pump I used is a generic one like this.
NOTE: Make sure to NOT have supports in the pipe system because you won't be able to get them out after printing!
Order of assembly:
Insert the pump outlet into the respective hole under the middle piece. Make sure it's in all the way. The orientation should be with the inlet towards the open side, so that it can get water from the base of the fountain.
Insert the wire through the small whole in the base and align it with the cutout in the middle piece.
Press the middle piece into the cutout of the base. If your tolerances are tight, it should go in with a little push. If it doesn't fit, slightly sand the bottom edges of the middle piece (sometimes the first layer protrudes outward a little).
Solder the micro-usb connector. If you don't want to use one, then connect the wires to a 3-5v power supply.
