This is a dummy engine set for the Carl Goldberg Anniversary Edition Cub. It is approximately 1 to 5.5 scale. The cowl is not included but is available elsewhere.
Parts of the dummy engine are a remix of the engine from: https://www.thingiverse.com/marencak/designshttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4587824
His was a different scale. His eyebrow (cover plate) was open on the back end. I also redid the intake and exhaust pipes to better fit the Goldberg Cub.
Printing supports should not be needed for any dummy engine parts. All STLs should already be in the correct orientation for printing. A narrow brim is suggested for all engine parts. I used 0.15 mm layer height and 30% infill for all parts.
The dummy engines can be made from PLA and painted if desired. The dummy engines can be assembled with epoxy or CA. Pushrod tubes are not included. 2 mm Aluminum tubing from K&S cut to 39 mm long works nicely.
There are three versions of the cowl available. One with both the left and right dummy engine. One with for just the left dummy engine and a cutout for a gas or glow engine on the right. And one with neither dummy engine and no cutouts. The cowls are not included in this download. But can be found here:https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/carl-goldberg-cub-cowl-engine
Revised 2020-12-02: Exhaust and suction pipes were updated for a better fit.
