CADMAN CHALLENGE No.6 – MULTIBODY MODELING TECHNIQUES – MIRRORED PARTS

Hi folks, here is my demonstration of multibody modeling.

Multibody modeling is a technique in which a single part file can contain multiple parts. This allows the parts to share features and parameters as well as a common origin which makes assembly easy as one would simply constrain the parts origin to origin after splitting the master model into its constituent parts. Please note that although I demonstrated the technique using solidworks, you can literally find the same set of commands and carry out the exact same process with inventor, solid edge, catia v5/6, ptc creo, onshape, nx ideas, and most other parametric modeling applications.
