The main intention was to attach a cable chain with adjustable heigths to the Microswiss DirectDrive at the back. For that my discontinued first attempt for the T-nut version worked but it lacked some features.
So I developed this one from scratch. Actually this is not a remix. Just to guide people I mark it as such :) In addition it is easier to be categorized.
This clamp around the front part of the extruder stepper motor is designed to be some kind of multi purpose mount for different stuff (like filament runout sensors, filament cleaning sponge, etc.).
For the clamp you need one M3 nut and one M3x20 screw (or longer).
For the cable chain mount you need two M3x15 screws (or longer).
I used 13 links for the chain.
There is already a possibility to use a zip tie. In the pictures you can see my messy and poor cable management :o This will be cleaned soon. I guess I finally found the right cooling solution (the hydra fan duct).
The thing is developed and tested for the following and very specific setup:
Ender 3 / Pro / v2
Microswiss DirectDrive
NEMA17 22mm Pancake Stepper Motor for extruder (by bondtech in my case)
cable chains made by diogosantos88
X Axis Mount "Slot-In"-Version by Tobi0892 which requires you to remove the gantry
Cooling Solution Micro Swiss Direct Drive Hydra Fan Duct [EZABL | BLTouch] by akanar with my own front mount
if you want to use a BL Touch or something like that: it has to be in front of the nozzle like the 6mm version of BLTouch Mount for Hydra Fan Duct various sizes in my case with offsets x=0 and y~40. Other mounts might the offset for the X-Axis let the cable chain mount crash into one of the 4020 profiles for the Z-Axis (like akanars mount would do in this specific scenario).
This was designed using the slot-in version of the X-Axis. The original version with T-nuts has a different distance so the chains would not align properly. There are already remixes like this that should address the issue but I didn't test them.
It is possible to adapt the mount for other stepper motors. The SketchUp file is included. Please feel free to adapt it for your needs or to develope additional mounts.
