Made in the USA

The EPLC2-48-100LED-AMB from Larson Electronics is an Adjustable Magnetic Mount Explosion Proof LED Light Fixture that is approved for Class I Division 2 and Class II Divisions 1 & 2 rated environments. This explosion proof LED light has a T5 temperature rating and is designed for low profile, magnetic trunnion mounting to make the maximum use of available space.

The EPLC2-48-100LED-AMB is comprised of solid state design LEDs, making this explosion proof led fixture highly resistant to shock and vibrations and cooler running than comparable incandescent and HID light fixtures. This 78 watt LED fixture draws less than one amp on a 120 Volt AC power system while producing 7,250 lumens of bright white light, producing efficiency that reduces power consumption and operating costs without compromising light output or quality.

This explosion proof linear LED fixture contains no ballast box normally associated with fluorescent fixtures, which reduces overall weight and creates a slimmer unit profile. The solid state LEDs have a 100,000+ hour service life, which results in extreme efficiency and greatly reduced maintenance costs. The solid state design of the LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature and a lamp service life over twice that of standard T5 fixtures.

LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.

LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.

This light is multi-voltage capable and can be operated with 100-277 V AC, 50/60 Hz without any need for a special ballast. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LED luminaries. The LED lamp produces 7,250 lumens with a color temperature of 5000K and a color rendering index of 70, which produces colors and details much more accurately than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor luminaries.

The EPLC2-48-100LED-AMB mounts to flat, magnetic surfaces via a center mounted trunnion bracket equipped with a pair of 50 lb magnets. The magnets provide a total of 100 lb of grip strength and allow operators to mount the unit to ceilings, walls, and any other flat, ferrous surfaces. The trunnion bracket on this magnetic mount explosion proof light is adjustable and can be set to a specific angle for maximum area coverage in a variety of mounting applications. The wiring of this portable hazardous location lighting system consists of 10 feet of SOOW cable that is terminated in a 15 amp explosion proof plug.
