The original fuel cap for my Briggs and Stratton 675 XLC has fallen apart and though I still could screw it on, the ventilation function was gone. A year long I was looking for the cause why the engine stops after 20-30 min of mowing. Since I am not a mechanic but I wanted to repair it myself and learn from it, I've changed a couple of parts, until one of my workmate had given me a hint that maybe there's vacuum in the fuel tank.
So there's the solution...
I printed it with 0.1 layer height, with PETG. How it handles gasoline, I don't know yet, but since it isn't soaked into it, I hope it holds on at least a couple of years.
I was looking for the perfect thread for a long time, and I found out it is ANSI Unified Screw Threads, 1.8125 in, 1 13/16-6 UN.
I've made it in Fusion 360.
