Body mounts for a Tamiya DT-02 chassis for non-buggy bodies.
It should accommodate most truck and car bodies. My 6 year-old son wanted to turn his Desert Gator into a truck and after trying on a number of body shells we found the Arrma Granite truck body which has the perfect width and wheelbase for the DT-02 and so this is designed specifically for that.
The body posts are printed separately so that they can be replaced when broken, and to allow some front/rear adjustment. Printed with 100% infill they're surprisingly durable. They might be stronger if printed horizontally but I haven't needed to try that yet.
I printed in PLA and at coarse/quick settings in case I was going to need to iterate and reprint several times but it worked out the first time so these may not look great, but they're hidden under the body anyway.
So far everthing's held together through some significant abuse.
Update, May 6, 2018: After a full-speed crash into a tree several feet off of the ground, three of the posts broke (it was a significant enough crash that one of the front tires came off of the rim). I reprinted using some flexible TPU filament (this one, for what it's worth: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00TI3JUVK/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=figureeight-20&linkId=dcf85494330e8b339e6bd48053584361 ) and what a difference. We've had some spectacular crashes since, including some that required replacement of other parts, and the posts have held.
I don't have any experience with other flexible filaments. This one isn't super flexible - it feels rather rigid, much moreso than a Tamiya tire for example.
