I really like this action cam from JVC, especially its timelapse mode for recording prints. However my battery is old and holds little charge, and most prints last longer than the batt.
Therefore, I made a dummy battery to emulate a fully charged one! This will lead two cables out the back of your camera that you can then connect to a power supply. I use a DC-DC converter that you can get from your favorite online retailer for cheap. Just make sure you have a constant 3.7 - 3.8v
The design works best with stranded wire and low layer heights, because of the "nubs" intended for securing the wire. If, like me, you simply cannot get that to work, grab some solid wire and a small drill bit.
The grooves will snugly accommodate 1.2mm external dia. wire, experiment with thicknesses around 22AWG
It probably bears highlighting that you lose the water resistant feature of your camera while using this mod.
