"She doesn't look normal!""She doesn't fly normal!""Because she ain't normal!"LOL,gottalove this movie! :-) Anyway, this is my take on the famous chopper. I've tried to model as many details as possible, but it would've taken too long to make them all. That's why the cockpit has some basic stuff, and is modeled mainly after some pics of scale models, so it's not that accurate. Of course, i've stumbled upon real (and good) photos AFTER i finished modelling.Everything is made by me except main rotor which i have taken from BlackHawk from PapaDragon, with permission:http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/69687. I couldn't find any schematics or good pics to make my own so, thx again mate, really great stuff!! I have removed one blade, as BT has 3-blade rotor.Only thing that's really missing is decals. Again, i've searched around but good PDF ones (for scale models) are not free and some photos i've found are to blury to make anything out of them, so i couln't even recreate them. Bummer...The gun has some basic rigging. If you select nose lid (sensor) you can rotate the whole gun mount around z-axis by 90 degrees left and right, and if you select those "nuts" things under the nose you can rotate them up and down around x-axis. Since this is my first attempt at rigging it'll, of course, all fall appart if you try to move helicopter around. You have been warned. :-)) (Actualy, the gun is parrented to "nuts", these are parented to axle which is tied to nose lid with sensor, and everything has some rotation constraints. I don't know if that actually counts as rigging??)I have also included low-poly base model in the last layer if someone's interested. I hope you'll like it. Cheers!
