When travelling at high speeds the operator needs a visual queue when to light the rocket, activate the rocket and the subsequent braking reeds. The steering wheel has integrated lights that light up
sequentially as the pilot increase speed. These lights will mimic the dashboard display but enable the pilot to “keep his eyes on the road” so to speak. The rocket ignite trigger is on the front of the steering wheel and needs to be held down before the rocket can be fully activated using the right trigger. These triggers are on the front of the steering wheel allowing for the pilot to hold on while maintain control of the wheel. If the buttons are released this would initiate a shutdown for safety reasons e.g. to fast acceleration.

Air brakes and parachute buttons are on the top of the steering Wheel handles away from the rocket control triggers so that they are not inadvertently wushed. They are easily accessible by the pilots
thumbs. The steering wheel has been sized and ergonomically formed for a user with gloves.
