This Bloodhound model is based on the JT format files shared on the bloodhound website (http://www.bloodhoundssc.com/cad-drawings). I used JNetCAD (http://www.johannes-raida.de/jnetcad.htm) to convert the majority of the bodywork.and external JT files to .obj and .stl files. This at least got the files into a format I could work with, but there were still issues with the models. They came through as either solids or collections of surfaces, and there were significant interferences, surface duplications and gaps. I then used a combination of meshmixer (http://www.meshmixer.com/), netfabb basic (http://www.netfabb.com/basic.php), netfabb 'cloud' (https://netfabb.azurewebsites.net/) and Solidworks 2013 (http://www.solidworks.com/) to combine, trim, bridge, split and modify the files until they were 3D printable. I've uploaded the final stl and Solidworks files here. The models are 'full size' so will require significant scaling down to get on your print bed! There is still quite a bit of detail missing, particularly around the rocket exhaust and parachutes area, so if anyone is keen please have a play there.
These models represent at least 30hours of research, editing, and many software crashes, so please provide attributions if you use them for anything interesting.
Released with the kind permission of the Bloodhound team.
