So, if like me you have a smaller printer with a smaller build platform, and if also like me you crashed your Blade 350QX and want to make a new frame for it what do you do?
Well you goto the Thingiverse and find that all the frames are very nice, but too big to build on your printer. That's where this comes in.
All I have done is take pedrofer's original and very nice Blade 350QX Crash Kit frame design and cut the top and bottom plates into smaller pieces that will fit in a 120X120 build space, perfect for printers such as the Monoprice Select Mini.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Print all 8 pieces, 4 for the top and 4 for the bottom, plus 4 arms and 4 feet.
I would recommend you label each piece so they don't get mixed up.
Next, using either a 3D printed joiner(design to be uploaded soon), or simply a piece of metal or wood, join the four pieces of each the top and bottom plates together at their biggest points. I just drilled small holes and used small sheet metal screws into small pieces of sheet metal for this but I'm sure something like balsa wood would also do.
After joining the plate pieces together, build the rest as per the original instructions and fly!
I personally haven't had any problems with stability or durability with this exact setup but your mileage may vary.
