Blackboard Sesame_VX1 is elegant and user-friendly door reader. Its appearance is minimal, but with the special attention to the details. Smooth and roundened corners gives modern look and makes device visually smaller. Structural and clear form represents reliability and together blends in with urban architecture.

Created device is cost efficient because it's assembled from modular parts. We can combine 4 different devices - contactless only, contactless with Pin pad, contactless with mag strip, contactless with mag strip and Pin pad. Combinations are made by changing front and side parts of the device. The main dimensions never changes because of optimal details and modular part combinations.

The key point of the design is mag strip. It's rotated by 35 degree for better and more ergonomic use. By observing people and natural hand movement it was decided to create user-centered device which will full answer to the blackboard philosophy.

For the access indications LED light are used. It was desided to make concentrated spot of access light in the top part of the device for better visibility. When access is accepted green light flashed, when denied - red. To indicate power blue light flashes in the light guide corner. By using light guides we can make concentrated and bright light. It was decided not to separate different colors to smaller part to take clear surface and less unnecessary details. Integrated beeper complements the light signals.

Pin pad allows to use maximum of the space. Bigger keys allows better user experience for using the device. Key press should have nice "click" sound to be more pleasant and give tactile feedback.

Device is attached to the wall by special mount. It is build-in by 2 screws. Then VX1 is attached to the mount and screwed from the bottom. The bottom screw is invisible from normal user perspective. Device stays secure and vandal resistant.
