I've been working on this 3D printed frame with 4mm Carbon Fibre arms for over a year now.
The arms are off the shelf and only cost £11 delivered to the UK which I believe is a worth while investment since all the 3D printed quads I have tried suffer from weak arms that constantly break.
After my first flight and crash tests it's stood up to all I could throw at it, very interesting actually. Flight characteristics are spot on with free fall being straight due to perfect balancing of parts.
One thing I did notice is that the VTX signal is much better without all that carbon around. Even this dipole antenna allowed good reception around my tree line. All my carbon builds suffer almost lost signal at the far points of the course, not so with this!
I am now on version 3 and I feel it is complete because it is almost indestructible. I know, its a massive claim and I guess if it was crashing into walls and concrete all day then OK I think it would break. But for field flying, crashing into gates and flag poles this is just fine.
In the next few weeks I'll do some build video's on my YouTube channel "TheBionicBone" <-- No Spaces :). I will try to include everything including the basic set up of the flight controller and, if you follow exactly using the same parts then it should be possible to share a settings file.

Build Videos
To save keep updating this Thingiverse site I have created a play list for the videos on my YouTube site. The videos discuss sourcing the electronics, printing the 3D parts, assembly of the frame, placement of electronics, binding of the Rx, wiring to the PDB and Naze32 moving onto configuration of ESC with BLHeli settings and Naze32 settings.
They can be found here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkwZLlQdzQ7jjHiQwWkQ323Z2itgvJA0P
Let me know what you think!
