I have experimented with designing folding frames before, with questionable success :) This one finally works as i wanted.
Designed to fit around the scisky, be robust, and quick and easy to print; and it does the job pretty well. It's light (less than 6 grams), doesn't need any screws, everything snaps together nicely if your printer is properly calibrated.
I use a rubber band to hold the battery below the body; the latest version even have grooves to keep the loops nice and even, and protect the FPV transmitter and camera on the top at the same time. In a crash the arms tend to fold in, absorbing the hit; i had a prop pop off once.
The arms are for 8.5x20mm motors and 50-60mm props.
Print two of both the straight and the bent arm, don't forget to mirror the bent one, although they works upside down too, just look a bit "off" :)
I've also included the first body design; it's simpler and tougher but it blocked the USB port so had to take it apart every time i wanted to tune my PIDs. The new one is fine.
Enjoy!
