Please let me know what you make. :) This shelf sits on 8 screws in plain drywall, and has one central screw into the stud in the corner of the room. Personally I installed a shelf similar to this (less complex though) exactly five inches above my bed. For maximum room space and ease of use. The next version may have a phone holder a bit more centered so you can see the full phone screen, and the phone cord would likely come up from the bottom and not the back...so the shelf can firmly press up against your wall. My room corner is slightly rounded, but yours may be a perfect square corner. Oh and the shelf is about 2 feet by 2 feet, to allow for a full legal-size clipboard.
