Kościół wznoszono etapami w latach 1380-1445, a obecny kształt nadano mu na początku XVII w. Kościół jest halowy z trzema nawami bez wydzielonego prezbiterium. Do najstarszych elementów wyposażenia należą: późnogotycki tryptyk z początku XVI w. w lewej bocznej nawie i malowany tryptyk z Ukrzyżowaniem (w neogotyckiej oprawie) z 1553r. w prawej nawie bocznej. Późnogotyckie sklepienie pochodzi z końca XVI w. W tym samym okresie (1562-1596) dobudowano wieżę. Pozostały wystrój wnętrz jest głównie neogotycki. The cathedral church was built in stages from 1380 until 1445 and finally completed in its present shape during the early 17th c. The building was erected on the rectangular plan with nave and two aisles, without seperate presbytery. The oldest elements are: in the left aisle a late Gothic triptych from the early 16th c., in the right aisle the painted triptych 'Crucifixion' from 1553 (in the new Gothic framing).
