Snow, rain, work, lockdown... So many reasons not to ride your skateboard outdoor. Here enter balance boards at a cost of 100+ euros, or 3d printing!
I had some boards laying around (a Miller surfskate here) and wanted a cheap converter from skateboard to balance board.
Two intersecting ellipsoids later, I present you my converter using holes and gears from your existing board.
Advantages:
no screw accessible (both for the floor and your feet)
can be used in standalone mode (practice your balance in cool mode, from toes to heels) or on a foam roller (eg. 30 cm long with 15 cm diameter, for advanced balancing)
you can customize spacing between the converters
'standard' as in no drilling required, compatible with risers (3d printed or bought), and can be reverted back to skateboard with regular trucks.
