I've been meaning to make a fuel cell for my Honcho for a while, so I was pretty pleased when I found HarleyDesigns' (via his budget build YouTube series) design here.
I started out remixing it just to take metric hardware, but ended up making a lot of changes and remodelling it on a picture of another fuel cell I found online.
The body is now hollowed out and the lid removable so you can keep spares like body clips or maybe rod ends in there while you're out on the trail. I guess you could also fit a small battery in there to run lights or other electronics.
You'll need 26 M2x3mm bolts, 2 M3x3mm bolts, and one M4x3mm bolt. The M2 bolt length matters, but you can use longer M3 and M4 bolts if you already have them.
I may re-work it a little more to integrate the hold down straps into the lid, as they just clip into the sides of the tank right now, and maybe add a filler cap so you don't need to use another bolt.
You'll also need to print HarleyDesigns' original clip to attach this to the Honcho cage, which will take another couple of M3 bolts.
Enjoy, and thanks to HarleyDesigns for his great work!
