Astrolabicon Puzzle
I really like the astrolabicon puzzle by MakeAnything ( https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-astrolabicon-puzzle-72019 ), but I have slightly larger magnets (8mm x 3mm) and didn't want to buy new ones, so I designed an astrolabicon from scratch where my magnets fit. Still it's the same principle and a pretty close design, so all credits go to Devin Montes from Make Anything.
As 8x3 is a pretty common size for those small neodymium magnets I wanted to share this version with you.
Print 2 of the large pieces and one center piece.
You will also need 12 8x3 magnets and 24 14mm marbles in different colors.
You can print the included printable spheres (print 2 hemispheres and a connector) or use some glass marbles or similar.
I have these magnets, but there are lots of sources:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10-20Pcs-Lot-Strong-Rare-Earth-NdFeB-Magnet-8mm-x-3mm-Neo-Neodymium-N50-Magnets-8/32860947243.html
I might play around with tolerances and add different sizes later, let me know in the comments what sizes you need.
Update 2018-08-10
Embedded the rings deeper to provide better fit and keep marbles from falling out
Added printable spheres
Known problems: The smaller rings seem to be a bit too small/short now to fit all marbles. Will tune the sizes and update soon.
