Figured this might be worth sharing with the community!
For experienced/brave souls, I will link to the full tutorial, yet to be written. Check back, I will post a link.
I purposely created this model flat, thus not exactly flush with the curvature of the backside of the aluminum body. Part of the tutorial mentioned above will cover a few reasons for designing it flat:
First, it simplifies the print job, which helps yield a higher-quality part.
I wanted to acetone treat the print (make it more transparent, less RGB light defusion), but acetone does not work for processing PETG. Most recommend using a heat gun.
By using a heat gun and compressing the part, against the aluminum body, produced phenomenal results. It allows you to focus on, and fine tune the fit with a good amount of control.
