Konnichi-Wa!
I present to you the AP SENBAN. It is a quadcopter frame with a wheelbase of 220 mm. SENBAN is Japanese for a rotating machine and this term fits perfectly to a Quadcopter. The AP SENBAN has the look of a Yayuji throwing star as it was used in some Ninja movies by the famous Sho Kosugi.
My PETG printed frame with 50% infill (without electronics but with nuts and screws) has a weight of 106 g (3.74 oz).
The SENBAN consists of the following printable parts:
Bottom Plate
Arm x 4
Top Plate
Tower Plate (if you need it)
Standoff Studs (M3) x 4
FPV Camera Mount for Runcam Swift
LED Mount
Cover Plate
You can also use aluminium standoff studs (M3 35 mm) instead of the printed ones.
These parts are screwed together. The following is required for this:
20 x flat head countersunk screws M3 x 12 mm
12 x nuts M3
4 x flat head countersunk screws M3 x ? mm for the flight controller
16 x rounded or socket head screws M3 x 8 for the brushless motors
To mount the flight controller four M3 countersunk screws are required. Their length depends on the construction of the tower and the flight controller. I used a MATEKSYS Flight Controller F405-CTR and to mount it I needed four M3 x 12 mm countersunk screws. On top of this you can then screw the other levels of the tower with nylon standoffs.
If the SENBAN should miss its target and get damaged, just reprint the damaged parts and mount them.
Some electronics are needed:
1 x flight controller board
4 x ESC (12 - 30 A, depending on the selected motor)
4 x Brushless motor (1806 - 2205 with 2300 kv)
4 x propeller (5")
1 x battery (3-4s)
Also needed:
zip ties
1 x velcro battery strap
1 x transmitter (at least 6-channel)
1 x receiver
Optionally you can add the following:
FPV camera and transmitter
LED strip (WS2812B RGB5050 LED)
Buzzer
By the way:
The SENBAN is not thrown from DOKO-NO-KAMAE, but started from CHIZEN-NO-KAMAE.
