Anycubic Kossel Tentacle Cooling Duct
I know I've banged on about a better blower being more important for this printer, in my opinion, than an upgraded cooling duct but I'm still trying to make an improved duct. This one is my latest attempt.
From certain angles it has a bit of the look of an one-armed octopus about it, hence the name. The Mk1 even more so until I realised it wouldn't allow the auto hight adjustment module to fit, so I cut off a bit.
Intentions:
To see if I can do an 'improved' duct that is actually an improvement. With that in mind this one is:
-Designed with the minimum of filament / printing time in mind
-Allow good, directed, air flow
-Attachment with all four factory mounting holes
-Fit as high up on the head as possible to allow for lots of clearance
-Be a neater design than my previous attempts
-Open to further modification
The Mk5 version posted here is my currently fitted cooling duct, and so far it seems to do a pretty good job, even though I say so myself. I designed it with a little bit of back-pressure in mind to help it really get it's squirt on... as a result it should also get a further benefit over the stock cooler when combined with a better blower. eg: See my Better Blower thingy.
I hope it proves useful to someone, do let me know. Suggestions welcome.
